Ann and Rick Takacs are graduates of the Culinary Institute of America and met while working at a restaurant in the Lehigh Valley.  We have been married for 20 years and have 2 children.   One of our dreams was to someday have our own restaurant.  We developed our skills by working for a food contract company managing kitchens for the past 20 years.  Through that experience we gained the expertise needed to manage our own business.   Four years ago we began a search for a good location to start our restaurant.  

 

We are located on Route 378 in the Black River Road Plaza.

    Our business name is ART CAFE - an acronym for our name Ann, Rick Takacs.  Food is art and art is the expression of a creative skill and imagination in a visual form to be appreciated.

    Stop in for breakfast, lunch, coffee or a homemade dessert or just to say Hi!  We look forward to meeting you and tempt your taste buds.
